About A1 Airport Taxis
Airport taxis should be priced up front, for the whole car, with no surprises at the kerb. That is the whole idea.
What we do
A1 Airport Taxis prices and books airport transfers to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton. You see a fixed fare for your exact journey before you book, worked out from the real road distance between your area and the terminal.
Who drives
Journeys are carried out by licensed private hire operators. Every driver holds a private hire driver licence from Transport for London or their local council, and every car is licensed and insured for hire and reward. Your confirmation names the operator taking your booking.
How we set prices
The same formula prices every journey on the site. It is published on the prices page. Road distances and drive times come from routing data for each town and London area to each airport terminal, recalculated when we update the site.
Where the data comes from
Place names and locations come from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Road distances and drive times come from OpenStreetMap routing (ODbL). Airport charges and terminal information come from each airport's own website and are checked when we update the site.
